dog behaviour training Hove
Matt recognises the importance of Dog Behaviour Training, it is vital in enhancing the relationship between owner and dog; and this is evidenced by his own dogs. For this reason, his one to one sessions aim to cover all aspects to ensure that this special bond is achieved, to the satisfaction and pleasure of all owners and their “best friend”. He believes that each dog and their owner deserve his undivided attention and that is exactly what he gives them – 100%.
Matt looks to ensure that the needs of both dog and owner are met, in a safe, secure and non-threatening environment. Matt also offers group training sessions, details of these classes will be posted on this site shortly.
Matt can offer one to one sessions to help with any of the following dog behavioural issues:

Issues of Aggression
Both Dog-to-Dog and Dog-to-Human
Prey Chasing
By nature, dogs enjoying running freely and it is almost instinctive for them to chase other animals. However, gentle techniques can be highly-effective to dissuade your dog from this behaviour
Guarding Resources/Possessive Behaviour
Matt will encourage owners/trainers to teach their dogs to restrain from displaying possessive traits relating to toys, food or humans
Territorial Behaviour
All aspects of this type of behaviour are covered in 1:1 sessions, with Matt giving his full attention to your individual dog
Excessive Herding and Stalking
This will also include the behaviour that displays itself when they are chasing vehicles, cyclists and runners
Phobias and Nervous Behaviour
This session requires sensitivity and all issues related to inherent fears and phobias displayed by your dog will be covered
Inter-Dog
This session will deal with methods of training your dog to avoid conflict when there is more than one dog in the home or when they are in a pack environment
Separation Anxiety
This is an increasingly common issue and one that must be resolved in a firm, yet caring way. Matt will enable the owner to feel comfortable when leaving the dog; and for the dog to feel settled and secure on its own
Anti-Social Behaviour
The focus during these sessions is to resolve the issues relating to the common canine behaviours, such as jumping up, barking excessively or pulling on the lead. These traits in your dog, can cause distress and embarrassment to the owner and the general public
